宗旨声明:

利记sbo is committed to the maintenance of an environment that is supportive of its primary educational mission and free from exploitation and intimidation. The University will not tolerate actions of hatred based upon bias and prejudice of any type.

This policy applies to all members of the 利记sbo community 包括 visitors to the campus and 员工s of 供应商 and contractors.

"Hate crimes" are defined in New York State Penal Law Article 485. Actions of hatred based upon bias and prejudice of any type will not be tolerated.

PROCEDURES TO ADDRESS ALLEGATIONS OF HATE CRIMES:

任何员工, faculty or staff found to have acted based upon hatred, bias or prejudice shall be subject to disciplinary action set forth in the grievance procedure, or in the contract between 利记sbo and the American Association of University and College Professors (AAUP), 包括但不限于, immediate suspension or dismissal. Resolution of charges may differ depending upon whether the individuals involved are 学生 or 员工s of the University. Complaints against University 员工s will be forwarded to the 人力资源厅 for resolution within the appropriate University grievance procedure systems.

The Office of 校园安全 shall investigate all complaints and allegations of violations of applicable laws, ordinances and regulations of hate crimes made by any student, 员工, 被邀请者, or visitor to the campus or 利记sbo property and provide support for said external prosecution of the alleged offenders in the appropriate external judicial forums as permitted by and subject to the mandates of applicable federal, 状态, 以及当地法律, 包括, 但不限于, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA").

It is the responsibility of the 员工 or student to notify the Director of 校园安全. 一旦得到通知, it is the responsibility of the University to work with the complainant to take appropriate action and notify the complainant of the results of any formal intervention to the degree possible.

执行:

Enforcement of 利记sbo policies is the responsibility of the office or offices listed in the “Resources/Questions” section of each policy. The responsible office will contact the appropriate authority regarding faculty or staff members, 学生, 供应商, or visitors who violate policies.

利记sbo acknowledges that University policies may not anticipate every possible issue that may arise. The University therefore reserves the right to make reasonable and relevant decisions regarding the enforcement of this policy. All such decisions must be approved by an officer of the University (i.e. president, vice president for academic affairs, or vice president for financial affairs).
